Jason's 27th Birthday & 12 Days of Christmas 2012

Jason’s 12 Days of Christmas 2012 and 27th Birthday

Jason and I told each other that we weren’t really going to be doing anything for Christmas for each other because we bought ourselves a new mattress, so I decided to do a very inexpensive 12 Days of Christmas for him.  He did one for my birthday and I really enjoyed it.

Day 1 (13th): 1 Test
It was suppose to be 1 positive pregnancy test.  That day marked me at 8 days late.  I did the pregnancy test and it was negative.  (I started the next day).  I turned this into 1 night relaxing together.  We watched some Prison Break and Go On on Netflix.

Day 2 (14th): Dinner for 2
This night Jason ended up having a meeting for football and the Gough Christmas Party was planned at Red Robin.  It ended up being dinner for 2 plus the whole Gough family. It was nice because Jared and Kathy paid for us.   We did a little shopping afterwards with Chad and Dallas and then headed to the Gough’s for some games.

Day 3 (15th): 3 Wishes Granted
Jason couldn’t really come up with any wishes that I could grant him but he does have a few: That we would be well enough off financially that we could help our families, that he could fly and to be able to talk to animals  He told me as we were driving from Tara and Colby’s house after watching Gavin because his baby sister Ava was born that morning!  We then headed to my work Christmas party.

Day 4 (16th): 4 wheel drive….petal to the metal, 4 on the floor
We drove around Ivins, Santa Clara, Washington Fields and St. George to look at the Christmas lights.  There were some great houses.  Our favorite, along with the whole town of St. George, was the Phineas and Ferb house off of Indian Hills Drive.  It was awesome!

Day 5 (17th): 5 Shows of Your Choice
This one I let Jason choose to watch any 5 shows that he wanted.  They didn’t have to be in 1 night.  We watched “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” “Kung Foo Panda Christmas” “Robin Hood” (new) and Prison Break.

Day 6 (18th): ½ Dozen Cookies
Peanut Butter Cookies are his favorite…..we still haven’t made them yet.

Day 7 (19th): 7 Evenings Together

Day 8 (20th):  8 full hours of movies for the Best Birthday Ever!
This day was Jason’s 27th birthday, so I wanted to make sure he had a great day.  He had talked about wanting to watch all the Lord of the Rings Movies before we saw The Hobbit so I decided to use that idea.  The night prior, we dragged our mattress to the living room and had a sleepover and watched the 1st movie.  (The mattress stayed out there for another 2 nights.  We were too lazy to move it back and we were home very little anyway).  We woke up the next morning and made a delicious breakfast of hash browns, omelets, bacon and French toast.  Then we cuddled up and watched the 2nd movie.  We ordered delivery pizza from Papa John’s for lunch.

We were planning to watch the 3rd movie but we decided to head out instead.  We got ready and went to Laser Mania for mini golf and arcade games.  Nobody could beat Jason’s score of 75 on the basketball game or punch the big ball harder than him.  We gave the ticket stub to a very surprised kid who ran and told his mom that he was the luckiest kid alive.

After playing we went “window shopping” and Jason made me buy 3 pairs of pants and a sweater!  He wouldn’t let me come back another day.  We also tried on sunglasses and Jason is very picky.  He didn’t want to spend that kind of money on glasses, even ones he liked.  After shopping we headed to Porterhouse Steakhouse and it was closed!  It went out of business within the week.  We were shocked and had to make a plan B. We headed to Gun Barrel Steakhouse instead and Jason had an elk steak and I ate some ribs. The food was delicious.  After dinner we went home, ate some Oreo ice cream cake and then went to watch “The Hobbit.”  It was 3 hours long but extremely good. I was surprised I stayed awake, only because I couldn’t get comfortable in that dang chair.    The movie got over around midnight so we headed straight home to head to bed because we both worked the next morning.
Jason almost dropped the cake on the floor....

Day 9 (21st): Live Nativity
We were planning to see the Live Nativity at Tuacahn and ride the camels but it didn’t end up working out.  We took Tara and Colby dinner and then headed out to birthday dinner with Jason’s parents. They take us both out to eat for our birthday present once a year.  We went to Pasta Factory and then hung out with the family.

Day 10 (22nd): 10 Massage Coupons

Day 11 (23rd): 11 Candies

Day 12 (24th): 12 Things I Love About You
