Chad Home from Philadelphia

So the youngest Gough brother, Chad, came home from his mission to Philadelphia on December 4th.  That is son number 7 who served a mission! Wow! What an accomplishment.  Charity, Dustin, their kids and I secretly met up with Rachel and her 2 little ones at Pasta Factory for dinner before we went to the airport.  Jason was at school in Cedar the whole day, so he wasn't able to come to dinner with us.  We were planning to be to the airport by 7:30pm, which was already 30 minutes early but as we were driving over there at 7, we got a call from dad telling us Chad had already landed!  He landed an hour early and nobody was there to meet him!  Oops.  Everybody was excited to see him once we all got there.  Jason even made it before we left the airport.  He has definitely changed and he lost a lot of weight too.  We are grateful for his service and we know he will be blessed.

That night we had a lot of fun as we hung out outside while all of the siblings went to be with him as he was released. They were there for a long time! We were all a little bit cold but had a good time anyway.  We hung out that evening until pretty late and then after nearly everyone left, Chad thought it would be a good idea to hop and Dallas' motorcycle and take a ride....bad idea...he had been awake for nearly 24 hours.  He crashed almost as soon as he started going.  We hurried him to the back bedroom without telling mom and he scratched his elbow up pretty good. He almost passed out.  We got him a band-aid and told him to lay down.  He ended up needing stitches, which he got a couple days later.
