Friday, we both worked and had very busy days. I guess IFA goes all out for Black Friday and they were extremely busy most of the day. Work was also crazy for me. I did do a little online shopping and I got to buy a few little toys at IFA for the nephews for Christmas. That evening we headed over to the Gough's hoping for some more family time and some leftovers.....and found none of that. We were extremely sad. Everyone was either with other family or doing other things. Defeated once again and really feeling like we were missing all the fun that was going on in Hyrum, we went out to dinner. We were suppose to meet everyone at the temple to see the lights, but didn't get a call to meet them, so we went and watched Skyfall, the new 007 movie. It was great! Funny story with that though....the theaters have changed to megaplex, so you get to pick your own seats. Well I guess we picked the handicapped seats with no chairs....luckily we had camp chairs in the trunk and a really nice manager there let us sit in them. There wasn't an empty chair in the theater and the camp chairs were very comfy!
Saturday, we both worked again. After work, there were still no leftovers, so I ate what I had left from the night before and Jason had a Jimmy John's sandwich. We were planning to just stay at home, because the rest of the weekend pretty much sucked, but the family called and said they were getting together. Yay! Family time...kind of. We played some cards, relaxed and then watched Brave at about 9pm. It was a late night but we still had some fun. It kind of salvaged our botched weekend.
Sunday, we slept in, went to church and made homemade pizzas with stuffed crust for dinner. We don't normally have to make Sunday dinners because we are usually with my family, so that was kind of strange. All in all, it was a strange weekend and we have pledged to go to Hyrum every year from now on.
Yes! And then you can see me ;)
