Finnley Ryan - Trip to Florida

Mom and I got to fly to Florida and visit Leah, Jason and brand new Finnley, born August 6th.  We were there from August 14th to the 21st.  It was a miracle I was able to switch my work schedule around and we found round trip tickets for $260!  Dad drove us to Vegas really early on the 14th and we caught our flight at 6am.  We had a layover in Dallas and then flew in to West Palm Beach.  Jason and Leah picked us up and we got our first look at little Finn.  It was Leah's birthday so we went to Outback for dinner that night.  The rest of the time we just spent time with Finnley and helped Leah out with feedings and of course holdings :)  Finn is a very calm baby and he hardly cries.  He is also really strong and lifts up his head and shoulders a lot and tries to roll over.

Happy grandma!!

First rain....

Mama!

Stretch!
We got to help with his first bath on the 17th and he got some newborn pictures taken on 19th and he pooped all over the photographer!

First bath.

Wide Awake

We love this little guy.

Mom and I attempted to run a few of the mornings and we were dripping wet within a few minutes.  Breathing water was a bit difficult.  We did get to head to the beach on Saturday. It was pretty warm and there were tons of little silver fish threatening to suck on my legs!  We didn't stay in the water very long.

We got to eat at Moe's and do some shopping.  On the last night we were able to eat at Burger Fi. It was delicious!

We had such a great time.  Finn is adorable and melts your heart instantly. Jason and Leah are great parents!  We didn't want to leave. We cried a lot and Leah cried the whole drive home. We look forward to tons of pictures and a visit to Utah in the near future.

The flight home was a bit sketchy and our route had to be changed because of some storms to over the ocean for most of it as we headed to Chicago.  We had a little bit of turbulence and saw a lightning show as we flew closer to Vegas.  Jason picked us up....that is after he realized he was in Terminal 3 instead of Terminal 1.  :)  We watched a 2 hour lightning show as we drove home. It was awesome....and a bit scary.
