We got our official ultrasound on June 26th (19 1/2 weeks). Mom and Tara were able to be there. He is the cutest little guy! He was being a stinker when she was trying to measure his heart and head, but as soon as she tried to take still shots of his face, he wouldn't move his hand from next to his eye. We saw him stretching his legs out and pushing on the wall of the uterus. We also have proof that he likes to put his little feet right next to my belly button and kick like crazy! (And it doesn't feel too nice) We got to see so many little features, nose, lips, yawning, fists, little bird legs and he wasn't shy this time about his parts either. His heart rate was in the 160's this time. He was just excited for his official debut. It was such a wonderful thing to see him being so active and it made us emotional. We followed up with the doctor the next day and he said everything looked great and that he was measuring right on and that there were no issues.
May 20 - 14 Weeks
June 23 - 19 Weeks

We have a very active little boy on our hands. I felt movement between 13 and 14 weeks, only on the left side. It felt like continual kicking, but I think it was the hiccups. I have been very nauseous and throw up a lot. I thought it would go away by 14 or 15 weeks but at 19 weeks it is still happening. I don't have really any cravings, mostly just food aversions. If Jason suggests something that doesn't sound good, I just gag. Also, if I let myself get even a little bit hungry, I get really nauseous and feel like I should have eaten yesterday. Frequent trips to the bathroom are an understatement and really interrupt my sleep! Haha so does needing to eat every 2 hours. Eating in the middle of the night is seriously overrated. Chewing crackers or bread or anything else in the night really gets old. I am just sick of chewing. Jason calls it my "Insom...nom...nom..nom..nomnia." Other than the nausea, I have been feeling great! I have not had any trouble at work and have been running with my mom and working out at the gym.
Our monthly visits to the doctor have been going very well. Jason comes to as many as he can. The appointments are very quick....minus the waiting for the doctor to come in. Dr. Benham is great and very straight to the point. I have been measuring right on and his heart rate has been constantly in the 150s...that is when he can find the little mover.
