Relief Society Broadcast & General Conference

I love it when conference time rolls around.  The Gough ladies all get together and watch the Relief Society Broadcast the week before and then get together for a home-cooked meal afterwards. The men get to take care of all the kids, then the women get the kids the next week when the boys go to the priesthood session.

This year was great.  I watched the broadcast on September 29th with Mom Gough, Charity, Taylor and Taylor's mom.  It was a wonderful session. I can't wait to read it when the Ensign comes out in November.  Afterwards, the girls got together and had soup. I made some yummy broccoli cheese soup and Mom Gough made taco soup.  I ate so much!  We all sat around the table and talked for the rest of the night.  It was great.

Both Jason and I had Saturday October 6th off work so we could watch the sessions together.....but I got called in at 10am.  Normally when you get called in you stay for an hour or two tops.  I ended up having to be there until 4pm.  I was a lot bummed that I wasn't able to watch conference but thank goodness for the internet. Jason and I will watch the 2 sessions we missed in a few Sundays.  Jason took Caleb with all of his brothers and dad to watch the priesthood session Saturday evening.  They went to Black Bear afterwards and ate like kings.  I hung out with the Gough sisters and all the kids at Jan's house.  It was a great evening.

The Sunday sessions we watched with my family.  We had a big brunch between sessions with Dutch Oven All-in-One breakfast which was delicious!!  The sessions were wonderful and were what we needed to hear.  My cousin Levi and his family were in town so he could run the marathon the day before, so we got to spend some time with them on Sunday.  It ended up being a great day even though I had to go into work at 4:30.
