Married 1 Year and Looking Forward to Eternity

2 Month Update
I thought that keeping up a blog would be much easier than writing in a journal, but at this point I am not sure about that. I have a lot of catching up to do because a lot has happened since Easter.  Other than the big events that I will tell you about, not a lot has changed with us. Jason finished up the spring semester at SUU with very good grades and is taking one online class this summer.  I am just working in Radiology at the hospital and in a pain management center.  We are enjoying life and love spending time together and with family and friends.  I will tell you about our 1 year anniversary trip later.
My sister Janny and her 2 girls, Hope and Alexis, will be moving in with us in our little apartment in the next couple of weeks.  It is going to be quite an adjustment for us, but we are happy that we can help out.  We will have a lot of fun.  My parents are moving out of the house I grew up in. It has been quite an experience packing a house that has been lived in for 19 years.  It will be hard to leave a house that holds so many memories, but the move is going to be a very good thing.

Anniversary Trip: Oceanside & Disneyland - May 6-11, 2011
I can't believe we have been married for over a year!  It seems like it was just yesterday.  I am so grateful for such a loving husband.  We are extremely happy and are looking forward to an eternity together.  For our anniversary trip we went to DISNEYLAND!!!! We were so excited. I surprised Jason with the plans and he freaked out.  We both had never been to Disneyland so it was a great experience.  We stayed south in Oceanside because my parents have timeshare and we saved a lot of money by using it. We spent some time at the beach and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves at Disneyland.  We got 3 day park hopper passes, so by the third day we were about sick of rides.  I took about a gazillion pictures, but I will only post my favorites.

Beach at Oceanside...It was less than a block from our room.  :)

We found an awesome candy shop on the pier and the ice cream was delicious!

Jason had flowers delivered to our room while we were at the beach....cute huh?
This is the view from our balcony.
Beach Time

DISNEYLAND!!!!

Since it was our first time at Disneyland, we had no idea what to expect.  We had the 3 day passes, so we had a lot of time to enjoy the park. It was the world premier of Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, so to celebrate,  it was gothic weekend. It was quite hilarious.  Let's just say that we saw a lot of crazily dressed people.  The funny thing though is that we never saw anyone that was dressed up ride the rides.  The first day was pretty busy with people lined up on main street from 8am to 5pm waiting for the stars to arrive on the black carpet.  They showed the movie over the water by the pirates ride.  It would have been cool to watch, but we didn't get tickets in advance.
On the first day, we just tried to walk through the entire park and go on as many rides as possible.  By the second day we had found our favorite rides.  We went early for the magic morning on the second day and we got to enjoy the park with a lot less people.  After riding rides for two days straight, we could only stomach a few rides on the third day, so we looked in a lot of the shops and just enjoyed walking around.  We had such a great time.

On the bus....super excited!

Yup those are first time buttons :)

First taste of Disney entertainment.

The sign outside Mickey's house said 15 minutes so we went in.....
one and a half hours later we got this picture.

We got soaked on this ride but it was still awesome.

We loved Paradise Pier

Tower of Terror

First time....yeah I was nervous.

I look terrified but I'm not. We loved Screamin' California

Waiting in line for Toy Story Mania....we got stuck by very weird people both times we went.

Almost there....woohoo!

I was most accurate but Jason always beat me.

Main Street on Magic Morning

Belle was the only princess I wanted to see and I got to see her!

Jason really really wanted to see Goofy and every time we ran into him he was finished taking pictures.  We finally got a picture with him on Magic Morning.

Chip or Dale?  I don't know.  Jason could tell you though.

Jason's new love :)
The World of Color show was amazing!
I tried to get some good pictures, but they didn't turn out too well.

This was at our anniversary dinner.  Haha.

Jason's choice....the hockey game was even good.  I had a delicious BBQ bacon cheeseburger. Yum!

We had a blast at Disneyland and California Adventure.
If it wasn't so darn expensive, we would go again in a heartbeat.

Memorial Weekend with Gram Cam in Hyrum, Utah - May 27-30, 2011
Jason, Connor and I headed to Hyrum to drop Caleb and Hope off at my grandma's house so they could stay with her for two weeks.  We were planning on heading home the next day so we could go camping with the Tateishi's, but grandma talked us into staying until Monday and I am glad we did.  We had a great time and got to eat at Fredrico's Pizza and see Kung Fu Panda 2.  Gram Cam loves Memorial Day, so it was fun to see her tradition.  She decorates over fifty graves at 5 different cemetaries in the Logan area. It was a long morning, but we had a great time. We didn't expect it to be as cold as it was, so all of us got to wear something of grandma's.  She is such an amazing woman. I wish she would have let me take some pictures of her.  I am sad that she lives so far away, so I cherise any time I get to spend with her.

Uncle Todd

My mom's sister Janette.  My oldest sister is named after her.

My grandma's son who only lived a few days.

Great-Grandparents

It has been an awesome couple of months.  I love Jason so much and I am glad that we have been able to have so much time together.  We are getting very excited for our summer camping trips.  Pictures and stories will be coming soon. Sorry this post is so long.  I had way too many favorite pictures and I think pictures tell better stories than me just blabbing anyway. :)
