Our First Easter

We had a wonderful Easter Break.  We loved spending time with family and were blessed because Leah flew in from Florida!   We normally celebrate at my grandparents house, but they were out of town, so we decided to party at Tara's house on Saturday. We dyed eggs, hunted for Easter candy, ate breakfast for dinner and watched Tangled. It was wonderful.

On Easter morning, I was very excited. It was our first Easter together! I rolled over and asked Jason, "Guess what you get to do this morning?"  He had no idea and answered just about everything but look for an Easter basket.  Jason had never searched for a basket on Easter morning, so I surprised him with one.  I always loved waking up and running around everywhere looking for your basket and laughing when you accidentally ran across one that wasn't yours.  Anyway, Jason was very excited....and it didn't take him long to find it, even though I thought it was in a really good spot.....one of my favorite places to look as a kid...in the bath!  It was a lot of fun and it was really nice to spoil Jason a little...and I couldn't help but put together a yummy basket for myself too.

We had a wonderful Easter Sunday remembering our Savior Jesus Christ. I am grateful for Him and everything He has done for me.  I love Easter and not just because of the chocolate. The spirit is so strong this time of year and I look forward to the day when I can personally thank the Savior for what He did for us.

After church Jason and I hung out at my parents house for a while.  We played games, talked and ate a delicious dinner....ham, scalloped potatoes, salad...yum!  I hate having to split time between the two families, but after dinner we headed to the Gough's for their traditional Easter egg hunt. It was a lot of fun.

Arrrgh! I am not exactly sure why he is doing that.....

Then there was the big boy hunt....it was epic!  Because it got rainy, we decided to do the hunt inside, but with a little apprehension.....fearing that something or someone would get broken.
