Things are moving right along with this pregnancy. Football is keeping us really busy. I am working 40 hours a week like usual and Jason is subbing and working at IFA. I had an appointment on September 19th at 31 weeks 3 days and my uterus is measuring 30 so that is great. The Dr. does not have any concerns.
I have been feeling great, except that at about 32 weeks I began to have lot of of upper abdomen pain when I would move around, cough, sneeze or gag. I could not figure out what was going on. After some research, I decided that I had Distasis Recti...which is where the abdominal muscles separate to accommodate a growing baby. I thought I could handle the pain but it just kept getting worse and worse and with the pain you find out how much you really use your ab muscles. I went to the doctor 2 weeks later just to make sure it was nothing serious. I had to see the on call dr and it seriously took 2 hours waiting in the waiting room and an hour waiting in the office! It was horrific. She was worried that I might have some type of infection or liver problems since most of the pain was on my right side. All the labs came back normal and she confirmed that my ab muscles were tearing and that the pain would stop once they stopped ripping....great. She also said there is nothing they can do except try to get them to move back together with exercise after delivery. yay for ripped muscles! :) I guess McKay needs a little more room to grow.
He has been loving my right side, right up under my ribs. Jason and I love to just lay in bed and watch him move. He really gets moving as soon as I relax and try to sleep! We used a flashlight to see if he would react and he swam away really fast. Jason also likes to sing to him and he kicks him in the face and stops moving all together. He really gets my stomach rolling when he decides to move. There is nothing small about him!
Here is 31 Weeks:

How in the world did I get talked into this?
